There’s no drag show in Southern Illinois like the monthly All-Ages Drag Variety Show. The next performance is planned for Friday, April 21 at the downtown venue. Join Blanche DuBois, the Godmother of drag in Southern Illinois, for the venue’s monthly All-Ages Drag Variety Show. Regular featured performers are Jodie Santana, Faim Lee Jewls, Leiyana Santana, Holly Haliwell and Christina Garnette, who will also be the evening’s hostess. The show starts at 7 p.m. Doors and the Varsity Bar open at 6. This is an all-ages show, and the venue welcomes young people; however, the show can be on the risqué side, and those 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tickets are $10 for adults or $5 for students with ID. They are available in advance at Eventbrite (bit.ly/3VH7E2T). Tickets are not available in advance at the venue but will be available on the night of the show when doors open at 6. Be sure to get tickets early; these shows almost always sell out. Come early and enjoy special cocktails at the bar in the company of Christina and the Varsity staff.
