Ariel Shaw, MBA is an award-winning business savvy woman who is founder of multiple businesses and initiatives. Founder & President of Southern Crescent Women In Business. This amazing organization that all of these ladies are apart of. She is the founder of multiple businesses and initiatives and for the past 5 years have focused on ensuring she turned her efforts to support her fellow women in business through SCWIB. She has an extensive background in government, politics, and business and is responsible for the start of multiple businesses, medical practices, and political victories across Georgia and the Carolinas. Ariel is the founder of Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc., a member based organization that seeks to provide foundational support for women-owned business throughout the Southern Crescent, through education, empowerment and funding. Ariel has also founded the first Women's Business Center on the Southside of Atlanta, The Southern Crescent Women Business Center. Tyronica S. Carter is a native Mississippian currently residing in Georgia with her husband Benjamin of 21 years, and 2 sons Benjamin and Brayden. She is a graduate of Jackson State University in Jackson, MS and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Prior to her current endeavor, Tyronica was an elementary school teacher with a Master’s Degree. She enjoyed teaching. However, In 2015 she decided to give entrepreneurship a try to supplement her income. In only 2 years she was able to leave education to pursue entrepreneurship full time. The 15 years in the classroom laid the foundation of her now role as a powerhouse in her current company where she leads a team of over 130,000 men and women to help them reach their full potential. Because of her consistency to show up, many opportunities have come her way! From hosting numerous events, including red carpets, to being featured on 4 magazine covers and many radio shows and podcasts. Sherry's collegiate journey started at Tuskegee University for 3 years and ultimately transferred to Albany State University where she earned a B.S. in Business Management. She furthered her education by obtaining a M.S. in Business with a concentration in Leadership and Organization Effectiveness. On the family frontier, she has a dotting husband and blended family with 5 kids. After a lengthy and successful career in the Pharmaceutical Industry, she had a burning desire to achieve more. Although she was passionate about helping people and animals by way of medicine, she felt something was still missing in her life. As fate would have it, an opportunity presented back in 2016 to explore entrepreneurship in the insurance industry. Interestingly enough, she had spent 2 semesters interning in an insurance claims division while in college, thus, this was a full circle moment!
