The Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County have been very busy over the past three years creating a native garden on the grounds of the historic James-Lorah Memorial Home in Doylestown Borough. Here’s your chance to see the beauty of their vision come to life!This is a FREE one-day outdoor event. Your self-guided tour through several different garden areas will take 30-45 minutes. Master Gardeners will be on hand throughout the garden to guide you along the path and answer questions. Tour starts at James-Lorah Auditorium, 100 N. Broad Street. Last entry 6:15 pm. Garden closes at 7:00pm. Respectful children age 10 and older are welcome. RAIN DATE JUNE 10, 3-7PM ****Not wheelchair accessible. Please be advised that the garden paths are uneven in places, with changes in grade and steps along the way. All attendees must be able to navigate these conditions on foot with confidence. Comfortable shoes are advised. Thank you for your understanding.**** This tour is presented by the Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County and the James-Lorah Memorial Home, Headquarters of the VIA of Doylestown. The James-Lorah Memorial home, Birthplace of Henry Mercer and Fanny Chapman, was built in 1844. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
