Award-winning journalist and writer Scott Turick will discuss his debut collection of sci-fi stories, "These Strange Matters: Eyes in the Storm & Other Tales" from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, in the auditorium at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.
This free event will feature readings from selected stories and a meet and greet with the author. Books will be available for purchase.
Turick's book was published at the end of 2022. The action-packed and thought-provoking collection has been lauded as "old-school sci-fi with a modern, subversive edge."
The Port Orange resident is a career journalist and recently concluded a nearly 20-year career at the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
