Description

Vital to a safe and enjoyable summer is getting your vessel ready for all the fun ahead! In Preparing Your Boat for Season, we’ll take you through the steps necessary to inspect and correct the critical systems to help ensure your boat is ready for summer. A vessel’s engine, electrical system, propane system, domestic water and sanitation will all be covered. In addition, we’ll share some great tips and tricks in setting up your boat for season, so that you’ll get to the boat more prepared and less stressed about your adventures ahead. Note: For the sailors in our group - Mike will follow-up this course in the afternoon with a complete class on the sailing systems! After this 3 hours course, you will have a great understanding and a checklist of things you can consider for your cruising vessel. Let's do everything we can before heading out and enjoying the water this summer. Mike is a life-long boater and 30-year veteran of the marine industry. His passion for sailing and powerboating has inspired him to learn as much about boats and marine systems as possible. Mike is a professionally trained Marine Surveyor and Marine Canvas Fabricator. He has seven ABYC Certifications, including Marine Electrical, Corrosion, Systems, Diesel Engines, AC/Refrigeration, and more. In previous roles, Mike has managed sailboat rigging shops and installed & serviced marine systems. He has also worked for many of the industry’s premier manufacturers and suppliers of heating systems, marine hardware, running gear components, and propellers. When not helping his clients, Mike and his wife Linda can be found cruising in Northwest waters on their 40-foot trawler or racing around the buoys on their 30-foot sailboat.
