A fellow inventor and USI member needs your support. Michael Kintner, inventor, and CEO of 360Heros Inc. will go to trial. His fight has been a long battle, and he has already survived the PTAB, which was an unlikely victory. His fight continues as he heads to ­­­Delaware to face his day in court. He needs all the support he can get. It would be greatly appreciated if you could attend.   Michael Kintner’s journey started with a dream to inspire others to tell their stories in a way that had never been done before. Michael founded 360Heros in hopes of enabling others to tell stories. He taught the 360 technologies to children and producers of all ages around the world. This technology was so successful it was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records when the first 360 video was recorded on top of Mount Everest in 2015. The patented 360Heros technology made it easier and more affordable for people to capture everything happening around them, whether it was on land, air, or underwater. The success was short-lived. GoPro, a corporate giant, saw the value of the technology and chose to copy it. GoPro then used its vast financial resources to steamroll Michael’s family business and bombard them in litigation, all while they continued to profit from the patented technology, making millions of dollars. GoPro used the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to its advantage and took 360Heros to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) to attempt to invalidate the patent. Against all odds, 360Heros prevailed and beat the PTAB. Now, 360Heros is headed to a real court, with a judge, a jury, and due process to proceed in their fight to stop their infringers from using their patented technology without permission.
