The Baystate Health Office of Diversity, Health Equity, Inclusion and Office of Public Health is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Faces of Faith, a photographic display and storytelling, featuring local men and women who are cancer survivors. The event is happening on Wednesday, April 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Focus Springfield Studios and Virtually. Registration is required. Faces of Faith supports our ongoing efforts to prevent health disparities and reduce the burden of diseases such as cancer, which disproportionately impact BIPOC, toward achieving health equity. The event provides a platform for us to engage, inform and learn through a community conversation about cancer prevention. It also affords us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the gift of life and cancer survivorship. The 2023 Faces of Faith Honorees are: Archie Emmanuel, Rev. Willard Cofield, Rev. Dr. Karen Rucks-Walker, Darlene Francis, Lamont Scott, Sherline Scott, Stephanie Burgess, Paulette Henderson-Small, and Skip Miller. These individuals are living vibrant lives and can offer hope and strength to others. By breaking through the silence, we are promoting awareness that life with and beyond cancer can be glorious, triumphant and most importantly, God-filled!
