Join us May 12 for speakers, workshops and exhibitors that share the goal of celebrating the journey and progress toward mental health recovery. It's our first in-person conference in three years, so there will be a lot to see and talk about. We will be holding the conference at the Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA. There is free parking and convenient access to public transportation. We'll have exhibitors with valuable information about community resources. We'll have a keynote address by Michael Lane on the power and effectiveness of peer supports and peer recovery services, part of the yearlong Year of the Peer celebration in Virginia. Michael is Division Director for Recovery Services with the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board. Our emcee is Srilekha Reddy Palle , Springfield District Representative for the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board . Our workshops cover a wide range of interests. Uplifting Dance Through Zumba with Wanda Thorpe of Sparkling Dance Fitness How to Make Peace with Meditation with Michele Capots, a BeWell Health Coach with PRS Inc. Our Visual Voice - Art in Recovery with Samantha Simons, an expressive arts facilitator Developing Lasting Relationships in Recovery with Monika Taylor of RPSV Finding Balance through Pain with Seth Pearson, Founder of "Heal with Seth Henry" May the Breath be with You with Niecia Bullock, Managing Partner of Rooted Yoga Rewiring Anxiety Through Yes-And Thinking with Dan Brown, Reflex Improv Plus, wonderful service dogs in training to pet from Canine Companions; free caricatures from Capital Artworks; and free massages by Healwell. We'll have a light breakfast and lunch so you can keep your energy and attention going the whole time. Join us!
