What: Grant Writing Workshop

This workshop is designed to help community groups, non-profits, and local organizations interested in applying for grants related to community and urban forestry, environmental justice and conservation.

Training will include:
How to determine the scale and scope of a grant opportunity including how to read a Request for Proposal (RFP)How to develop a project, write the proposal, and create a compelling narrativeHow to develop a grant budgetPost-award requirements including reporting, implementation, etc.How to navigate Grants.gov and other grant source websites Facilitation will be provided by the Northwest Indiana Urban Waters Partnership, CommuniTree and experienced grant writing experts from the Dunes Learning Center, the IN Department of Natural Resources Lake Michigan Coastal Program, the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission, Save the Dunes and the Chicago Region Trees Initiative of Morton Arboretum.
