Revitalizing Atlantic City with OPM (Other People’s Money)Free ParkingJoin us this April as we spring into strategies to use OPM (Other People’s Money) to revitalize Atlantic City. Jim Rutala, President of Rutala Associates, will bring his insight and experience to Public Relations Council of Greater Atlantic City. Jim will discuss efforts to improve the infrastructure, public safety, cleanliness, and the quality of life in Atlantic City using a myriad of funding sources. For many of you, Jim is best known as a grant’s writer. Most recently, Atlantic City and Cape May City have been awarded federal infrastructure grants for traffic improvements including sidewalks and crosswalks. Jim will discuss the creation of the AC Community Fund, as a founding member and one of its Executive Committee members, and the grants it provides to non-profits in Atlantic City. Some of these non-profits include Absecon Lighthouse, Atlantic City Ballet, and the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Jim will also discuss how encouraged regional banks as well as local businesses have provided funding directly to the AC neighborhood community development corporations. Lastly, Rutala will discuss concierge services aimed at fast tracking development and overcoming obstacles as Atlantic City proceeds to grow and experience its upcoming renaissance. This luncheon meeting will be held at the perfect location for the topics to be discussed. In the heart of the ever-growing Orange Loop, the luncheon will be held at the new Cardinal Restaurant.
