This is our second annual “Special Olympics Unified Basketball Game" taking place in Schollmaier Arena on TCU’s campus. This live event was started last year in an effort to fundraise money to send Special Olympic athletes and club members to represent Team Texas at the 2022 USA Games in Orlando. From this, we were able to raise over $15,000 to send them to Florida and bring home the bronze medal! This year, our goal is to pour back into the community to grow the Unified Movement in Fort Worth. We are partnering with Fort Worth ISD to raise money for schools in the community with a Special Olympics program. This money will allow them to grow their clubs through the funding of events, uniforms, equipment, and so much more. We see this event as a great opportunity to have the TCU and Fort Worth community come together as a whole to support these Special Olympic Programs.
