Silent Images is excited to host Women in Focus, a monthly gathering to create awareness of pressing social issues impacting our city or world. The afternoon includes a short film screening followed by discussion with a local topic expert(s). April's event is focused on the hope and tenacity of women in Ukraine, who despite much turmoil continue to have opportunities through faith, community and microfinance. We will show a short film and then hear from Grace Cook with Hope International as well as a counselor who has servedin Ukriane. We look forward to seeing you at our host site - Brakeman's Coffee in downtown Matthews - for coffee, pastries and awareness raising conversations. It will run approximately 3pm - 4pm. Registration is required via Eventbrite as space is limited to 50 women. We hope you'll invite a friend! Feel free to reach out with questions and forward to anyone you think would be interested.
