Become a NCCER-Certified Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO). Alamance Community College (ACC) is offering the Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) training and new classes will begin May 2023. Students will have hands-on experience with heavy-duty vehicles/machinery in the field and simulators. Students will learn construction safety following specific OSHA safety standards and manufacturer’s requirements, property heavy equipment operations, environmental concerns, heavy equipment design characteristics and features, equipment maintenance, and common equipment systems.
