Orofacial myologists and related practitioners place a strong emphasis on improving specific muscle patterns and postures to improve breathing, eating, dentition, bone growth, and ideally nervous system function. But what if we shifted the dynamic and started with nervous system regulation to help improve patient and client outcomes in orofacial myology and related procedures?
In this talk, Jamie will discuss how the way our brains process information can impact performance in therapy as well as outcomes from surgical and orthodontic procedures. We will learn why regulating the nervous system is a crucial first step in any therapeutic process and techniques to incorporate into your practice to help patients and clients come to center for improved healing and therapeutic results.
