Join ActiveSGV and Pure Water Southern California for a tour along the parts of the emerald necklace where we'll learn about a new source of water for SoCal. You will be able to bring your own bike, or reserve one of our GoSGV e-bikes for free. This ride will start/finish at: Jeff Seymour Family Center (10900 Mulhall St., El Monte, Ca. 91731) and travel on both city streets and bike paths. Due to the length, this ride is not recommended for anyone under the age of 12. Pre-registration and attendance confirmation is required for all participants. If you are attending with other family members, each person must be registered separately in order to attend. E-bikes of all types are encouraged, but not required or you can also register to ride a GoSGV e-bike FREE. Register now to guarantee your spot! *Please note: ID is required to use a reserved e-bike. Date: Saturday, April 15, 2023 Timeline: 8:00 AM - Meet at Jeff Seymour Family Center 9:00 AM - Roll 1:00 PM - Arrive back at JSFC Start/End: Jeff Seymour Family Center (10900 Mulhall St., El Monte, Ca. 91731) Route: Approx. 17-mile route on streets, bike path. Getting There: Public Transit: Metro, Foothill Transit Experience Level: Beginner/Intermediate What to Bring: A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears) A helmet is required to ride a GoSGV e-bike and if under the age of 18 Water Bottle (with water) TAP card or money for fare if you plan to use the Metro bus or train Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on-bike child seat *** PLEASE NOTE: All ride participants must sign this waiver to participate. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign for and accompany any minors under 18 participating in the ride. *** **RAIN POLICY: In the event of a rain forecast, we will contact you 24 hours in advance to confirm or cancel the ride** Safety Protocols We will be observing strict protocols during the ride to ensure safety and comfort for all participants and instructors. The entire ride will be conducted outdoors to maximize physical distancing. Please keep in mind the following rules while attending the ride: You must confirm your attendance in advance of the ride so we know to expect you and hold your spot. Every attendee must sign-in and complete a waiver. If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay home. Staff and ride marshals reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not follow these protocols (e.g., arrives without prior registration, does not complete waiver, etc.).
