AURORA, IL — U.S. Senator-elect Raphael Warnock is set to headline a virtual Dr. Martin Luther King Day event in Aurora on Sunday, less than two weeks after winning his seat in the Senate.
Agape Connection's celebration, which starts at 3 p.m., will feature Warnock as a guest speaker, according to a news release. Warnock has served as the senior pastor at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta since 2005.

Warnock defeated Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler in last week's run-off election for Georgia's Senate seats. His victory, along with Jon Ossoff's win over Republican Sen. David Perdue, will give Democrats control of the U.S. Senate for the next two years.
