Join Dr. Scot Duncan, Executive Director of Alabama Audubon, on a bird-watching walk in the park. The walk will be roughly one mile and last about an hour and a half. You are welcome to bring your own binoculars if you have them. Scot will also provide binoculars and field guides that you can borrow for the walk. This event is free for Red Mountain Park members and a $5 donation for non-members ages 5 and up. Please register if you plan on attending.

Dr. Scott Duncan is a lifelong birder and conservation scientist, Scot is also the author of the much acclaimed novel Southern Wonder: Alabama's Surprising Biodiversity. Before joining Alabama Audubon, Scot was a Professor of Biology at Birmingham-Southern College for twenty years. He holds a BS in Biology from Eckerd College, and a MS and PhD in Zoology from the University of Florida. His research and explorations have taken him to Antarctica, New Zealand, East Africa, Central and South America, the Pacific Northwest, and ecosystems across the southeastern US.
Attendees will be notified via email at least an hour prior to the event in the case of inclement weather and event cancellation.
