WHAT'S THE PURPOSE:
Talking about mental health can be difficult and awkward, but it doesn’t have to be. Nor do you need to be an expert to engage in conversations about mental health. Just a few small words — like asking someone how they’re feeling — can make a huge difference. Whether someone is ready to have that conversation with you or not, most people will appreciate your care and support in trying to start the conversation in the first place.
Rewiring our brains together through community support. Unlike physical health challenges, mental health and substance use challenges often remain unseen. We can’t always see mental health challenges, it’s important that we feel comfortable having conversations about them.
HOW TO JOIN:
The Garden Wellness will be hosting a community conversation about mental health on the FIRST Tuesday of every month at 11:30am. You can join us on your lunch break either in person (1814 Plover Road in Plover, WI) or on ZOOM.
The zoom link will be posted on The Garden Wellness Facebook page on the day of the conversation for anyone to join us. If you're joining in person, feel free to bring your lunch. Conversation will not exceed an hour to be respectful of everyone's time.
If you have any further conversations please contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
