Mai J. Lo Lee (she/her) is a Hmong American educator and has been recognized as one of Wisconsin’s Most Influential Asian American leaders. This year, Mai received the 2023 Fox Cities Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Educator of the Year for her mentorship, advocacy work, and her impact as a role model and community leader. She is an appointed member on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Inclusion and Equity and a board of director at the Green Bay Botanical Garden. Professionally, Mai serves as the Director of the Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA) Office at the UW – Green Bay. Mai is obtaining her doctorate in education and holds a master’s degree in Education and a bachelor’s degree in English and Mass Communications. Born in Thailand and raised in Central Wisconsin, she now calls the northeast Wisconsin region her home.
