Cara Reedy is the Media Narrative Director at the Disabled Journalists Association (a member organization of Storyline Partners). She is a journalist and producer who spent ten years of her career at CNN producing documentaries, and writing for various verticals including Eatocracy and CNN Business. She was featured in the 2019 documentary "Dwarfism and me: 'We're still treated as less than human'" by the Guardian. Ms. Reedy will be joining us for an afternoon on April 25 for a thought-provoking discussion on eugenics, reproductive health, and the portrayal of normality and disabilities in Hollywood and mass media that shaped our perspectives on health. She will discuss astrategies in anti-eugenics in health communications, perspective change, and what we can do to expand diversity in health promotion in mass media.
