On Hike + Write's final outing of the season we'll explore Burnet Woods with PhD candidate and fiction writer David Schwartz and Parks naturalist Lara Wardlow. We'll spot, smell, and possibly even taste wild flowers and plants, while we meditate on and write about our senses and the sublime. Whether you’re a proficient outdoorsperson or new to the outdoors, we’d love to have you join us! Hike + Write is a series of programs that will bring together UC writers and Cincy Parks naturalists to explore outdoor/wild spaces throughout the city. Hike + Write is for anyone who wants to spend time outdoors hiking or hanging out by the fireis interested in learning skills like identifying native plants, starting a fire, or building a shelteris curious about the history and ecology of Cincinnatiis interested in thinking, talking, and writing about the natural world and our place in itGather at the picnic tables outside the Trailside Nature Center.
