Swim 1922 was created by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc and US Swimming to address the unfortunate truth that according to the CDC, approximately 10 people drown every day in the U.S.A. An even more startling fact is that 70 percent of African American children and 60 percent of Hispanic children in the U.S. do not know how to swim. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority is partnering with Rhythm & Stroke, LLC to provide a free swim clinic to person ages 7 and up. Event begins at 10:30am. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow for time to change into swim wear and to complete waivers. Showers are available for use after the class.
