Established in 1987, IMTA is an organization comprised of leading modeling/talent training centers and agencies from around the world engaged in the professional promotion of the fashion and talent industry. At IMTA’s semi-annual Conventions, more than 400 top fashion and talent agents, managers, casting directors and industry professionals participate as judges and scouts during the action-packed, week-long event. Aspiring models, actors, singers and dancers compete on runways and stages in live and recorded competitions, interview with agents and managers interested in them for representation, and attend workshops and seminars offered by industry experts. In addition to the modeling and talent awards, numerous educational scholarships and cash grants are given toward advanced training opportunities. The models and talent who participate in the convention are seen by modeling and talent agencies from every major market in the United States, as well as Europe and Asia. Many of the models and talent you see in magazines, on television and in feature films received their start at an International Modeling and Talent Association Convention. A lot of new faces will be discovered at the Convention.
