The Africa Development Conference is a student-led event organized by the Africa Caucus of the Harvard Kennedy School and the Harvard African Law Association of the Harvard Law School. It convenes academia, students, and practitioners to highlight and explore critical issues related to the African continent’s development. The theme for this edition is “Reimagining Africa’s Growth on Our Terms.” The conference will have keynote speeches, fireside chats, and multiple panels.
The keynote guests for this year's conference include the Vice- President of the Republic of Ghana - H.E. Mahamudu Bawumiah and the Executive Chairman of Paramount Group Ivor Ichikowitz.
Other key panelists include: Dr. Omar Alieu Touray (President of the ECOWAS Commission); Hon. Kirsty Coventry (Minister of Youth and Sports, Zimbabwe); Vic Mensah (musician); Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang (Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Cape Coast); Tamary Kudita (2021 Sony Open Photographer of the Year) amongst other distinguished panelists.
