(An Equine Assisted Activities and Learning Method, Standing Strong with Horses) She holds certifications in Equine Mentoring and Education, Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy, Therapeutic Riding Instructor, Center Riding Instructor and Professional Equine Trainer in the "True Nature of the Horse." My work with horses has been a life long journey and passion, which started some 40 years ago at an equine rescue facility. The nurturing and rehabilitating of these majestic animals jump started my understanding of how they are so mistreated and so misunderstood. Their hearts are forgiving and willing to shift in trying to move past emotional trauma. This was an eye opening observation to the lessons I learned with horses. I continue to work with horses and owners in relationship training to teach the "True Nature of the Horse", helping the human to develop an understanding from the horses prospective. While working in the horse and human relationship field, I started looking at other areas that horses were making an impact on personal growth and health. I personally moved into this area of working with youth and adults on physical, mental and emotional levels. Over the last 20 years, I have worked in the method of Equine Assisted Learning with organizations and therapists. This work has allowed me to hone my skills and knowledge to develop programs, to train staff and to lead facilitation teams. I am living my dream and mission by contributing to the emotional and social growth, with participants in engaging, stimulating, equine activities that have current real-life content.
