Chicago BIPOC Birders is hosting a Spring Bird Walk! Come out, bring your friends, neighbors, kids, cousins! We will meet at the Parking Lot, near California Ave. and Berteau Ave. See map below. We will travel on the paved trail for about 30 minutes, making our way over to the river-front and spend the rest of the time birding along the river on a mulch path. Hopefully, we will see some early migrating birds, including Red Winged Black Birds, Brown Creepers, Golden and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, a few different species of sparrows, yellow-bellied sapsuckers, herons, and more! This event is individuals who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color. Please respect this intention. Binoculars will be provided. There are restrooms available at the Field House.
