The City of Upland Community Emergency Response Team (UCERT) is providing free training on how to take care of yourself, your family, your neighbors and your community in the event of an emergency or disaster.
Classes include:
• Emergency preparedness
• First Aid / CPR
• Light search and rescue
• Fire safety
Classes are free and are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on April 11th thru April 27th at 6:30 - 9:30 pm. The final exercise will be held on Saturday, May 6th from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Classes will be held at the Landecena Building, 1325 San Bernardino Road, Upland.
People 15-17 years of age may attend with a parent or guardian that is 21 years of age or older. Those who complete the training will receive a CERT vest, backpack and helmet.
All residents and businesses are invited to attend! You do not need to be an Upland resident to attend.
Please note that someone will contact you with the application for the CERT training classes. You may also complete an application by going to Uplandcert.net and signing up for a training class.
