"he Women's Armed Services Integration Act was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman on June 12, 1948. In order to celebrate this historic event, Veterans Organic Garden in partnership with NCWorks Craven is hosting a Women Veterans Appreciation Resource Event & Luncheon at the Riverfront Convention Center of Craven County, 203 S. Front Street, New Bern on Friday, June 16, 2023. The Resource Event will be from 8:30-11:30am and the luncheon is ticketed from 12-1:30pm. The guest speaker is Andrea Allard, Director of Transition Services for the NC Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. Also, she is an Army Veteran.
