Description

When microorganisms break down organic matter like leaves, grass clippings, and kitchen refuse, they produce compost, a dark, crumbly substance. Composting reduces the amount of solid waste that must be disposed of in an eco-friendly manner and produces products that are useful and advantageous for gardens and yards. Participants will leave the workshop with a basic understanding of how to begin composting at home.
