This event is for all the Little School Bus Scholar supporters (guests) at 1030AM, and then students at 12 Noon. We will be counting the donations and saying hello to the recipients. Bring a report card from your child's honor roll during the year and get a portion of the scholarship donations! Everyone is welcome; come at 10:30 AM on June 11, 2023. Anytime during the year, have your A or B student come to the restaurant with a copy of their quarterly report card and they will be entered as a recipient for a portion of the scholarship fund that is opened every June. The student will also receive a free chicken or beef pho! John Pham, the owner of Ninh Kieu Vietnamese Restaurant will have his yearly scholarship giveaway to a few lucky honor students, who presented great grades and visited the restaurant. You are invited to bring your child with their exemplary report card anytime during the year to enter them in the give-away for the cash that is put away during the year to reward and recognize honor students. John knows the value of hard work and education. 55 years ago, a teacher in Vietnam would have 70 students in their classroom. Every student was ranked, and only the top three would continue with their studies. John was consistently in the top three, and every time he was, his father would reward him. Other participants in the affair are Beth, who was culturally Chinese that grew up in Vietnam. Twice she attempted to escape from communist Vietnam. Her first unsuccessful attempt left her shoeless, at gunpoint, being escorted to the prison, after paying a local to help her family escape. She knew when she left, she had to travel light, and that included gold and her education. She knew that no matter what happened, the government could seize her things, but they couldn’t seize her education.
