Join us on Friday, April 14 at 6:30 PM for a special screening of The UnReDacted (Jihad Rehab) hosted by The University of Utah Department of Film & Media Arts and College of Humanities, and Heterodox Academy. The screening will be followed by a Q&A featuring Director/Producer Meg Smaker and Assosiate Professor of Writing and Rhetoric, Maximilian Werner. The UnRedacted tells the story of a group of men trained by al-Qaeda who are transferred from Guantanamo to the world’s first rehabilitation center for “terrorists” located in Saudi Arabia. Filmed over three years, with unprecedented access, this film is a complex and nuanced exploration of the men we have heard so much about but never heard from.
