Celebrate Earth Day's 53rd birthday with the Cal Poly Alumni - North Bay Community on Saturday, April 22, at 9:15 a.m.!
Meet up with local Cal Poly alumni for a series of Earth Day events:
9:15-9:30 a.m. Check-in - Participants will check in with volunteers at the Olive Park footbridge (near 1698 Hazel St., Santa Rosa, CA 95401)9:30-11:30 a.m., Creek Clean-up - The rains this season left our creeks in need of a clean up! Our group of Mustangs is teaming up with the City of Santa Rosa to beautify a section of the Prince Memorial Greenway creeks. Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and Cal Poly gear. Gloves, trash bags, and pickers for the cleanup will be provided. 12-1 p.m., Cal Poly Alumni Lunch and Social - Following the creek cleanup, the group will have lunch at Prince Gateway Park near the big fish (NW corner of Sonoma Ave and Santa Rosa Ave). This is a great time to socialize with your fellow alumni and learn about future alumni events throughout the Greater Bay Area.1-4 p.m., City of Santa Rosa Earth Day Festival - After lunch, guests have the option to stay for the local Earth Day celebration at Old Courthouse Square (4th Street and Santa Rosa Avenue, Santa Rosa CA, 95401). The festivities include music, vendors, educational sessions, arts and crafts and more. This FREE event is open to Cal Poly alumni, family and friends, ages 8 and up. Lunch will be provided. Please bring a water bottle for the day (there will be refill stations at the event).
RSVP by April 15 so we can plan for lunches and supplies.
