Lifeguard Certification Classes - Select and Reserve a Spot!

The first lifeguard training and certification class will be the weekend of 4/15 to 4/16, this is a two day class. If you are not available on these dates you may sign up for the additional training dates of 4/22-23 and 4/29-30. The training classes will start each day at 8:00am and end at 6:00PM with a 1 hour break for lunch. Location is at the Blockhouse Community Apache Swimming Pool, 3100 North Block House Drive in Leander. We will start the first day of the class with the swimming evaluations. The swimming evaluation is a 100-yard swim (one time down and back the length of the pool), a 1-minute tread (using only your legs), and a 10-pound brick retrieval. **Be sure to bring sunscreen, a towel, plenty of drinking water, swim goggles (optional) and a change of clothes (and of course a swimsuit). ***There is a $50 fee for the certification enrollment and lifeguarding equipment you will receive upon course completion. Please be prepared to provide payment when you arrive for the class. (Cash, Check, PayPal or Venmo) Please sign up for one of the weekend classes you would be available to attend.
