The Tucson Repair Cafe is hosting a jewelry workshop to teach people how to upcycle computer parts, creating something new and beautiful that you can wear, gift, or display.
In 2019, the United States generated 6.92 million tons of e-waste, about 46 pounds per person, and recycled only 15% of that material. This workshop helps the environment by reusing donated computer parts that would otherwise be trashed and turning it into something that can be used again and again.
Join us on April 13th at 6 p.m. and get something you can take home at the end of the workshop. We'll teach you how to cut the circuit boards and how to turn them into beautiful pieces of jewelry.
All proceeds go to buying supplies and supporting the Tucson Repair Cafe and Xerocraft!
The Tucson Repair Cafe is a local nonprofit where you can get your items fixed for free at our repair events. Xerocraft is a makerspace located in Downtown Tucson that hosts workshops and provides tools for local crafters. For more information, visit tucsonrepaircafe.com and xerocraft.org
