Homelessness in Spokane continues to reach historic levels. The issue is as multifaceted as it is seemingly impossible to solve. What are the roles of mental health, addiction, incarceration, job loss, housing costs, mentorship, public policies, government spending and other challenges in this complex puzzle? How do we ensure a safe and healthy city for all citizens? What role should government, service providers, private business and citizens play? How do we create shared understanding and collaborative efforts? What can we accomplish to address this ever-growing need? Please join us on May 9th for " Homelessness, Compassionate Capitalism, and Leadership" an educational discussion on homelessness and its effects on our region with director of advocacy at the Treatment Advocacy Center, Michael Gray. He received his Juris Doctor, master in urban planning and bachelor’s degrees in history and philosophy from the University of Louisville.
