"Oh, the sun shines bright, On my old Kentucky home..." You know the rest! Join us at Square Nightclub on April 13th as we start our countdown to the 149th annual Kentucky Derby! Let’s get in the spirit and celebrate one the of the most well-known American whiskey brands: Woodford Reserve. For over two centuries, Woodford Reserve has been crafting some of America’s finest bourbons. We will be sampling 4 of those superb libations. Instead of our normal blind tasting, our resident American whiskey expert Joe will lead us in a game to help train our palates to discern the celebrated grains in Woodford Reserve’s lineup: corn, wheat, rye and malted barley. We will all taste together as a group and talk about the flavors and notes we pick up. After the tasting, participants will vote to see if they can identify each variety. At the end, we will reveal the order of the tasting. The official beverage of the Kentucky Derby is the Mint Julep made with Woodford Reserve. We’ll end our evening with a sample of this classic Kentucky cocktail. Seating is limited, so please get your tickets soon!
