Description

Fly casting is a skill that requires a combination of finesse, timing, and accuracy. Unlike conventional fishing methods that rely on the weight of the bait or lure to cast, fly casting relies on the weight of the fly line to propel the fly forward. As a result, fly casting requires a unique casting motion that is both fluid and precise. In this class for beginner fly casting, you will learn the basic principles of fly casting, such as how to grip the rod, how to control the line, how to form tight and open loops, and how to cast in different directions and distances. You will also practice some common fly casting techniques, such as false casting, roll casting and hauling. By the end of this class, you will have a solid foundation for fly fishing on various water surfaces. I. Introduction Overview of fly fishing equipmentII.
