The Yale Club of Sacramento invites you to spend the morning with Dr. Brian Scassellati, Yale Professor of computer science, cognitive science, and mechanical engineering and the newly admitted members of the Yale College Class of 2027.
Dr. "Scaz" will share his research focused on building embodied computational models of human social behavior, especially the developmental progression of early social skills. Using computational modeling and socially interactive robots in different methodological roles, he explores questions about social development that are difficult or impossible to assail using methods of other disciplines.
Dr. Scassellati is also the Director of the NSF Expedition on Socially Assistive Robotics. His interests include humanoid robots, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence, machine perception, and social learning.
Welcome and Reception - 10:00 a.m. (Light refreshments will be served) | Speaking Program will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by discussion and q & a. There will be ample time for conversation and welcoming the new members of the class of 2027 and their families.
