Trauma has a deep impact on the lives of children. As caregivers in any capacity, we can serve children and families well by understanding the impacts of trauma, shifting our paradigm as to how we see behavior, and gain practical tools to help children learn, thrive, heal and grow. Whether you are with children for an hour a week or as a primary caregiver, this training will be beneficial to you. Come hear from Melanie McCracken, M.Ed. She is the Director of Communications and Training at the South Texas Alliance for Orphans. Melanie is also an affiliate trainer with Back to Back Ministries, a former elementary school teacher and a foster/adoptive mom navigating the challenges of early childhood trauma in her own parenting journey.
