He boasts a simple, familiar, acoustic sound and pairs it with songwriting in the vein of artists like Andrew Peterson and Rich Mullins. Carson was born in Lynchburg Virginia and lived there until 2007, when his family headed west to Oklahoma City. He’s always loved to sing and from a young age knew that he would want to make his life a musical one. Inspired heavily by artists like the aforementioned Andrew Peterson, as well as other acts including Switchfoot, Caedmon’s Call, and John Mark McMillan, Carson aspires to write music that engages the hearts and minds of listeners and points them towards the love of God. Carson has been leading musical worship at his church since high school and earned a degree in Contemporary Music Production from the University of Oklahoma’s Academy of Contemporary Music.
