BEVERLY HILLS, CA — 100 people were evacuated Monday afternoon in Beverly Hills after a two-way gas line was broken under construction. The leak was reported before 2 p.m. near 100 North La Peer Drive, according to Lt. Max Subin of the Beverly Hills Police Department. 100 people in the area were evacuated to Roxbury Park, Subin said. As of 3:15 p.m. Monday, the area between North La Peer Drive and North Swall Drive, between Wilshire Boulevard, and Clifton Way, is closed. Residential customers are advised to call SoCalGas at 877-238-0092 for more information.
