The Field Teen Center is hosting an alternative to traditional proms.Our event is free to the public!Date: Friday, May 12thTime: 5:00pm – 8:00pmLocation: 4th floor Skyline Room and adjacent outdoor terrace that offer sweeping views of the city.Festivities: DJ, catered food, festive décor, beverages, board Games, a surprise performance, professional photography and videography. Restrooms: gendered stall restrooms, access to single gender inclusive restrooms Accessibility: The venue has a ramp in the rear of the building on Wood Street. The 4th floor skyline room is accessible by elevator. There are accessible stalls in the restrooms. --Guidelines & ExpectationsAge PolicyThis event is only open to those who will be between the ages of 12 and 18 on the day of the event (May 12th, 2023). No one 11 or younger/ 19 or older will be admitted. Age will be verified at the door. See the FAQ below for acceptable ways to validate your age. Standards of Acceptable BehaviorAttendees agree to follow the Free Library of Philadelphia Standards of Acceptable Behavior. Anyone who fails to comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave. We welcome you to wear what makes you feel fancy. Shoes must be worn during the duration of the event. The Teen Center Prom is a safe space for teens to come together in an environment of acceptance, respect, and celebration of one another. We aim to provide a safe space for teens, regardless of sexuality, gender identity, the way they dress, or any other reason. We ask that all attendees work towards this goal as well. Consent is paramount so we may keep each other and the space we inhabit safe. Ask for consent before you engage with someone to dance, touch, or photograph/record (even your friends). Please avoid assuming anyone's identity, pronouns, or validity in attending the Teen Center Prom event. If your consent has been violated, you experience or witness harassment, you need accessibility assistance, or you have any questions, please find a staff member. Photo Release PolicyThe event Photographer/Videographer will be well versed in our photo release policy and will get consent for any photos. Best Health PracticesThe Field Teen Center asks that all attendees stay home if feeling unwell. Masks are optional. Best practice is to test before the event.
