Are you thinking about building a business in the cannabis space? Do you want to be a small business owner or startup founder? Do you ideas and don't know where to start? This working session helps attendees explore their options on becoming entrepreneurs in the cannabis industry and develop next steps to accomplishing their entrepreneurial goals. Featured Speaker Kyrié 'Kirk' Kirkland is the Founder and CEO of Nuvé, a Black women-owned cannabis tech startup whose mission is to close the knowledge and skills gaps in the cannabis industry using immersive tech. She holds a MBA, MAT, and MED and has leveraged over 15 years of experience providing direct instruction, curriculum development, career coaching and academic advising to build a brand that centers learners in the cannabis industry. As an instructional designer for XR enhanced content, Kirk has found a way to merge education and tech to provide engaging experiences and take conversations beyond consumption that increase cannabis literacy and normalize the plant in our society. Kirk is a graduate of the CannaTech Ventures Incubator program, a developing home grower, an immersive storyteller and all around Cannanerd that lives in the Chicagoland area.
