Description

We all know that clean water is one of our planet’s most valuable resources. It is critical to everything that we do. The food we eat, the electricity that powers our homes, and the cities and towns in which we live are all highly dependent upon having reliable sources of clean water. Even the beer that we drink is 90% water. Sadly, more than 780 million people in this world do not have access to clean water. To help show the importance of clean water and the fact that with No Water there would be No Beer, the Georgia Section of the American Water Works Association (GAWWA) is hosting the seventh annual No Water, No Beer Festival®. This year we have another exciting new venue intown at the newly opened Wild Leap Brewery at Centennial Yards (the exciting new development taking place downtown near Mercedes Benz Stadium). Wild Leap was voted by Beer Connoisseur to be the 2021 Brewery of the Year and is excited to be hosting this event in their brand new facility. This year’s event will be held on April 29, 2023from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. The event will include delicious food, great music, and some of the best beer (and wine) in the Southeast. All proceeds from this event will help Water for People and Engineers Without Borders in their quests to provide clean water to people in developing countries, it will help Rivers Alive in efforts to keep our water supply clean right here in Georgia, and it will help the AWWA Water Equation provide scholarships for training operators in protecting our health. All proceeds from the event will benefit Water For People, Rivers Alive, Engineers Without Boarders, and AWWA's Water Equation. Registration includes great beer & wine, food, and music.
