This group is a fun way for adults to create and connect with others. What will I be doing? You will be using watercolor to paint your favorite picture from where you live! It is no secret Rhode Island is filled with a lot of beauty and picturesque moments - most of which probably live in your phone. This group gives you the fun opportunity to paint that favorite picture while connecting with other members of the Newport community. You do not need any art experience to participate in this group. You will be given slight instructions on how to use watercolor paint as well as learn about different techniques as a guide, and all materials needed to paint will be provided. Art at its core is therapeutic. It helps align you with the moment and regulates your nervous system - putting you in a state of "flow". Additionally, this group will focus on practicing & welcoming appreciation and gratitude. As always, Art Talk groups aim to be therapeutic and the emphasis of the art-making is focused on the process rather than the outcome, and I pride my groups on being safe creative spaces so please be respectful and kind.
