Greetings Industry Partner, Employment is the goal - Participants of this event will be considered the first to have an opportunity to build a bridge to Anoka-Hennepin School District students that meet the profile and criteria for employment and potential internships/apprenticeships. Please plan to participate in Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Manufacturing CoHort meeting on Wednesday April 19, 2023 at STEP - Located on the campus of Anoka Technical College. The agenda will focus on Next Steps in building a model of Workforce Acquisition with Anoka-Hennepin Schools. The School District will be our education partner in this event. We will use the data that we acquired for the last meeting to serve as a place to begin to bring life to a systemic process to create the pathway for students toward careers in Manufacturing. This CoHort meeting will allow for us to share a conversation about "Next Steps": (start small – then scale) Set up School Collaboration Event.Hear from industry. Connect with students, (And families?).Industry ToursEach host needs to create “their own” unique experience for the students to have.Industry to visit schools.School must create the experience that shows how students are being prepared for careers in manufacturing today.Employment and career opportunity is the goal - we have the opportunity to build a bridge to the next generation of employees in the manufacturing field, to design an educational pathway toward manufacturing careers. The best audience for this meeting would be owners, HR folks, supervisors and GM’s. We will limit attendance to 30.
