The aftermath of the tornadoes will be present for weeks to come. We can see the changes in our community. However, the mental aftermath is not always easy to see or pick up on. Post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and substance misuse are things that we must be aware of as our family, friends, and neighbors put the pieces back together. Mumford and Associates has partnered with Passion Unlimited Counseling to mobilize Central Arkansas mental and public health professionals to meet the community where they are. Community members are invited to join us for a day of fun, food, fellowship, and education. Mental health providers will be onsite to provide one-on-one support for those impacted by the disaster. Public health professionals will be onsite to facilitate group activities and to provide health education and promotion materials.
