Our SCSWEC Marketing Director, Cori Champagne is dedicating her birthday to the cause - JOIN US - in this magnificent celebration of community, connection and care for Lake St. Clair! *Join us as part of a group 5/7 or sign up to participate from the comfort of your home street. (see detail below) ----------------------------------------------------------------- GROUP PARTICIPATION: Join us for this Community-Connecting Event where our mission is to spread awareness and encourage mindful daily activity amongst Lake St. Clair Community residents and visitors in honor & support of a healthy and thriving Lake St. Clair and her surrounding ecosystems & watersheds. WHERE: meeting at NOON in the parking lot in front of Blossom Health Inn (and behind St. Clair Shores Park) - Do not drive all the way back to Blossom Health Park**TIME: we will congregate at NOON and then head out to assigned locations - residential streets opposite of JeffersonEvent Activities Include: Prep, Paint and Stencil Residential Street Storm Drain Stenciling "No Dumping, Drains to Lake"Hang Door Hangers on nearby residences & businesses, notifying them of our missionPickup any trash along our routesBuild and become part of a mindful community connection - if there's one thing we can all support is the quality of our drinking water and waterfront - I, Cori Champagne, personally thank you for your support and care for Lake St. Clair. How to Prepare: Wear comfortable clothing that may entertain some light paint, dirt or debris.Wear shoes made for walking - expect to cover a mile's distanceTrash bags, spray paint, wire brushes, stencils and gloves will be available for your useBring a water - though waters will be available throughout, we will be doing a lot of walking.Granola Bars, Water and Coffee will be available ---------------------------------------------------------------------- INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPATION: Do you reside in St. Clair Shores?Do you have a storm drain in front of your home?Does it need to be stenciled? Cori will walk you through HOW TO STENCIL and you will stenciling your own street storm drain at your convenience - a photo of completion is required and provided back to Cori - stenciling tools to be picked up upon completion of project or no later than 5/19.
