2023 Norm Maleng Advocate for Youth Award Honoree Justice Bobbe J. Bridge (Ret.) CCYJ's annual Maleng Advocate for Youth Award breakfast will reconvene this May for the first time since 2019. Please join us in honoring our Founding President & CEO, Justice Bobbe J. Bridge (Ret.). The CCYJ Maleng Advocate for Youth Award breakfast recognizes the Maleng Advocate Youth Award recipient while celebrating and supporting the ongoing critical work of CCYJ to create better lives for generations of children and youth by reforming the child welfare and youth criminal legal systems. CCYJ established the Norm Maleng Advocate for Youth Award in 2008 to honor the memory and inspiration of CCYJ co-founder and former King County Prosecutor Norm Maleng, after his passing in 2007. Norm was a highly respected and unflagging advocate for children and youth. The Advocate for Youth Award recognizes those who, like Norm, show exemplary leadership, dedication, advocacy for, and commitment to the youth and families of Washington who become involved in our youth criminal legal and child welfare systems.
