Join Black Rock Garden Club and One Tree Planted for 2 days of volunteering to celebrate Earth Month! Volunteers will install native trees in the Black Rock neighbourhood. You will assist in preparing the planting sites and placing, watering, and composting the trees over two days. The initiative aims to address the lack of consistent green canopy in the neighbourhood, which affects air quality, pollinator and wildlife habitat, and aesthetics. Please remember to: Wear Sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots with good traction.Long pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect your skin from scratches and insect bites.Layers of clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.A hat or cap to protect your head and face from the sun.Bring A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.Sunscreen and bug spraySnacks if you're a snack-y personA positive attitudeIf you registered for the event and have to cancel, please get in touch with [email protected] We look forward to seeing you there!
